Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action Movie releases a Longer Trailer

AUGUST 25 CAN’T COME ANY SOONER. Oh well, I still need to wait for subs so I guess I shouldn’t rush. Haha!

Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action Movie releases Trailer

I always thought I’ve posted this until ockoala posted it and I wondered if I already did. And I did not. It’s just that we’ve been spazzing about this trailer and I’ve posted it in my friends’ walls in Facebook so it felt silly and impossible that I could have not posted it yet on my blog. I guess I think so highly of myself. Haha! Anyway, it is also subbed in English so yeyeyey! Enjoy!

As for the movie itself, OMG, ain’t it gorgeous and captivating. Everything is perfect and Sato Takeru just kills that Kenshin air to the T. The only gripe would be his height but rather than give the role to someone tall but incompetent, I’d rather have Sato Takeru and his intensity and equal parts good-naturedness even if he’s short. You rock, Takeru! (Hawt!)

Yamamoto Yusuke turns to a villain for Sadako 3D

I’ve blogged about Sadako 3D here before. Now, Yamamoto Yusuke has been added to its cast as a villain. He’ll be playing a mysterious young man plotting to bring about the return of Sadako from the previous “Ring” films.

Yamamoto’s character was once a popular artist online, but he disappeared after a particular incident. However, the police suspect him to be the one who first uploaded the video that seems to be causing the suicides.

Sadako 3D is scheduled for theatrical release on May 12, 2012.

Fujiwara Tatsuya and Matsuda Ryuhei star in I’M FLASH

Fujiwara Tatsuya and Matsuda Ryuhei stars in Toyoda Toshiaki’s new film, I’M FLASH. For once, this movie is an original script, actually written by Director Toyoda. (In a Japanese film market full of live-action adaptations, this is much needed.) Fujiwara plays Rui, a charismatic young leader of a rising religious organization called Life is Beautiful. One days, he meets a mysterious woman and he ends up in a car accident that leaves the woman in a coma.

Because of that, Rui goes into hiding in a deserted island with ex-yakuza bodyguard played by Matsusa Ryuhei and some other people. There, he decides that he will publicly reveal the truth behind the organization, putting his own life in danger.

The rest of the cast includes Itao Itsuji, Okusu Michiyo, Nakamura Tatsuya, Nagayama Kento, and Kitamura Yukiya. The movie was said to be shot entirely in Okinawa under a nearly non-stop schedule.

“I’M FLASH” is scheduled for release in September 2012.

I adore both actors because they’re such terrific actors so yey! I’m not really interested in the plot and I doubt I’m gonna watch this anytime soon but I’m just really glad and interested (enough to blog about it) about them being in a movie together. Heehee.

Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action Movie starring Sato Takeru releases Teaser Trailer

I never knew Rurouni Kenshin is being made into a live-action movie! Anyway, I watched the anime as a kid but I can’t really remember much except that Kenshin has that X scar, thus the alterna-title Samurai X. Watch the trailer and see the anime come into life. Sato Takeru stars as the titular Kenshin and I am in awe of how similar he looks to anime Kenshin. It’s just so darn believable. Well, except maybe for the height since Sato Takeru is small and Kenshin is sort of tall and lanky. But I can get past that given the slick action sequence and editing and cinematography I have seen from the short preview of what’s to come. It’s just so awesome. I am so stoked for this! Rurouni Kenshin will hit theaters on August 25, 2012. I’ll be posting the stills soon and you’ll see just how much Sato Takeru rocks that X scar. Haha!

Ishihara Satomi and Seto Koji star in Sadako 3D

Filming for the upcoming horror film “Sadako 3D” has finished last December 16 and it stars Ishihara Satomi on her first lead role in a horror film and Seto Koji as her boyfriend.

The movie is an original story revolving around Sadako, the iconic character of the “Ring” series. Ishihara Satomi plays the role of Ayukawa Akane, a teacher at an all-girls school. She hears a rumor about a video of a suicide that was submitted to a video website. Soon, one of her students dies in a mysterious death, as with other people in other areas. The police declares the deaths as a suicide but that all of these people watched the said video before their untimely demise.

Seto Koji plays Ando Takanori, Akane’s web designer boyfriend.

“Sadako 3D” is directed by Hanabusa Tsutomu, who directed Koukou Debut. “Sadako 3D” is slated for a May 12, 2012 premiere.

Can’t say I’m gonna watch this one but I just saw this news and well, since I have nothing better to do, decided to post it since it interested me a lil bit since I like Satomi in her past projects.

2PM’s Nichkhun to appear in the Ouran High School Host Club Live-Action Movie

Nichkhun will be making his first appearance in a Japanese movie since he has been added to the cast of the Ouran High School Host Club Live-Action movie, which is scheduled for a March 17, 2012 premiere.

The film is the continuation of the live-action series that just aired in Japan and the cast members are set to reprise their roles. So more Kawaguchi Haruna, Yamamoto Yusuke, Daito Shunsuke, Ryusei Ryo, Chiba Yudai, Nakamura Masaya, Takagi Shinpei and Takagi Manpei for us. Yey!

Shinoda Mariko of AKB48 was casted earlier as a half-Japanese character named Michelle who comes to Japan from Singapore in order to study. Nichkhun will play her brother Lawrence, who is a very young president of one of the biggest corporations in Asia. Nichkhun will be dressed to the nines for his role as a business man who is half-Japanese and speaks English. He therefore was chosen for the role being fluent in English as he was partly raised in Los Angeles.

I like my Nichkhun anywhere so YAY! Nichkhun in Ouran High School Host Club which I can’t wait for! Hee.

Antoki no Inochi starring Okada Masaki and Eikura Nana Trailer

Why am I only seeing this now? WHYYYYY? Anyway, here is the trailer. Two of my most favorite people in J-ent together. /giddy Masaki’s acting just keeps getting better with every project! That’s right, good job, ~mah boy~. <3 And the projects just keep coming! I think he hasn’t rested last 2010 and this 2011 because the number of movies he just did is insane! I am so proud! Onto the trailer, those tears and the way he just broke down. Then when he smiles, it’s as if it’s connected to my lips and mine also curve upwards. He seriously has a contagious smile. And I love it! And let’s not forget Nana who’s crying bucketloads too. When this girl cries, I cry too. I remember wailing while watching April Bride. *sobsob* Anyway, before I get too emotional (from pride and happiness for Masaki and from sadness due to April Bride), I’m gonna stop blabbering. Enjoy!
